For Prospective Students
Are you still processing applications for Fall 2020?
Yes. The Admissions Department is currently processing applications for Fall 2020 and Spring 2021. We have limited staff on-site, but we are all available to connect via email, text, or phone to answer any question you have about your application process.
Will monthly open houses still be held?
Yes. Open Houses are currently held as a virtual event.
If I can’t come to campus to visit, what are my other options?
We would love to connect with you remotely! We can set up a virtual meeting with video conferencing, chat with you over the phone, or just communicate through email and text. Contact admissions@dunwoody.edu to start connecting.
What happens if I can’t access my transcripts, can I still be admitted?
Yes. We are committed to working with students who may be experiencing difficulty accessing transcripts during this time. We will work with you and other institutions to ensure we have documents we need without creating additional stress.
How can I see more about what Dunwoody is like?

For Transfer Students
Will there be an application deadline extension?
Yes. Contact your Admissions Counselor if you need an extension.

Will this affect timing of admission notification?
No. The Admissions Department is still processing applications for Fall 2020 and Spring 2021. We do not foresee any changes to when application decisions are made.
Are the other offices at Dunwoody open?
Yes, but with limited on-site staff available. Dunwoody is following guidelines from the CDC and the Federal and State Government, which means that many staff are currently working remotely. All offices are available to connect with via phone and email during regular business hours. If you need to speak with someone in person, please arrange the visit ahead of time to ensure that a one-on-one meeting can be accommodated.
Can I still schedule a campus tour?
We are providing one-on-one virtual tours of campus during this time. Contact admissions@dunwoody.edu to set up your visit.

Yes. Please refer to your acceptance packet for the date and time for orientation, and watch for additional information.
What about student housing?
The process for applying to and getting accepted in Dunwoody student housing has not changed.
What can I do while I wait?
We will be connecting with you often! Watch for emails from your Dean or the Director of Admissions. Stay in contact with your admissions counselor and search for scholarships. Please reach out anytime you have questions, we’re here to help.
When will my Financial Aid information be sent out?
We are sending award offers now. Make sure you have your FAFSA submitted and then wait for your award notification to quickly follow.
When do I register for my classes?
Registration for new students opens at the same time as for current students. You must have completed your financial aid paperwork and submitted your financial responsibility form before you will be allowed to register.
For Parents
Who can help me over the phone or email?

Dunwoody is scheduled to visit my area. Will they still be here?
As of right now, the CDC and the Federal and State Government are recommending that public gatherings of more than 10 people be cancelled.
In addition, all Dunwoody Admission related travel is being evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
I’m registered for a daily visit. What should I do?
Dunwoody is following all recommendations from the CDC and the Minnesota Department of Health, and we will be practicing social distancing during any one-on-one meeting. We ask that any visitors to campus be healthy and follow these protocols as well. If you are comfortable heading to campus to meet one-on-one, we’d love to see you here!
Will my student still have access to housing?
The process for applying to and getting accepted in Dunwoody student housing has not changed.
For International Students
When will I receive my I-20?
The current pandemic may delay the processing time for prospective students who are seeking an I-20 through Dunwoody for fall 2020 term. We encourage students to continue with the process and contact the college Designated School Official (DSO) with additional questions.
If my country has been affected by COVID-19, will I still be allowed to attend Dunwoody?
Students traveling from countries impacted by COVID-19 to refer to guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), U.S. Department of State and U.S. Customs and Border Protection for specific port-of-entry screening processes, as well as any travel restrictions.
If I’m not able to attend Dunwoody this fall, can I defer my admission?
No, Students will need to submit a new application to the new term they wish to enroll at Dunwoody.

My favorite part about working with students is that I have the opportunity to help shape a person’s life. Going to college can be very stressful and intimidating, being able to help make things make sense and guide students to the right path so they can forge a successful life is one of the best rewards of being an Admissions Rep.

The student-centered environment that we provide to our students. Everyone really wants to see our students reach their potential and help them along the way. The small class sizes and hands-on learning environment are great!

Helping students find the right fit for them. Seeing students start with Orientation and end with walking across the stage at Graduation, knowing I helped them find the right fit for them at Dunwoody.

My favorite part about working with students is seeing them graduate. I know that it’s very tough at times when going to school, but to overcome all of that and graduate knowing that they put in hard work to be there is truly what makes it special.

Since it’s founding, Dunwoody has helped more than 250,000 graduates make an impact in their respective career fields. Many of these same graduates, along with numerous industry partners, have contributed to Dunwoody’s continued success as a private, non-profit, state-of-the-art, hands-on institution, which produces graduates who are able to hit the ground running.
Favorite part about working with students:
I am proud to play a part in helping applicants visualize their career goals, and to ultimately see themselves graduate and land lucrative jobs within their fields of study.
Hobbies outside of work:
I enjoy reading, working out, and playing pickup basketball games. I also love spending time with my children, helping them learn and develop into decent individuals.

Two of my favorite things about Dunwoody are the legacy the institution continues to maintain and that we offer in-demand programs that directly support the industries that Minnesota was built on.

My favorite part of this job is seeing students go from Freshman orientation to becoming successful members of their career field.

When I think of Dunwoody, I think of success. Dunwoody is a pillar in the community, and I am extremely proud to be part of that. It’s an honor to work with the students, staff, and faculty here.

It is such a pleasure to see students begin their educational journey. To see a student succeed is why I love my job.

Admissions is the best job on campus; we get to meet with students when their dreams are just an idea, and assist them in making that dream a reality. I love interacting with the students and I am very fortunate to be able to do that for a living!
