Hazardous Materials

If you encounter a hazardous material spill, leak, or situation contact Public Safety:

Clear the immediate area and contact Public Safety at 612-381-3328.
In the event of an evacuation [link to evacuation page]
Shut off electrical equipment if possible and it is safe to do so.
Proceed to emergency exits. DO NOT use elevators.
Help those needing assistance.
Keep a distance from individuals who have been electrocuted or exposed to toxins until the individual is clearly away from threat.
Stay up-wind and uphill from any hazardous vapor, gas, or liquid.
If contact occurs on skin or in eyes, immediately flush with clean water. Discard contaminated clothing.

State emergency.
Provide building address (818 Dunwoody Blvd = Main and CEE buildings; 700 Dunwoody Blvd = Warren) and exact location in building.
Report known injuries.
Report name, description and amount of material spilled, if known.

DO NOT go back into an area where the hazardous materials spill, leak, or situation occurred.
