Tops spots on Glassdoor’s annual list are all about engineering and computer technology

Dunwoody’s computer and engineering graduates are in high demand. So, it wasn’t any surprise when Glassdoor.com released its annual “50 Best Jobs in America” report for 2022 and technology careers rounded out the Top 12 spots.

Ranked according to earning potential, overall job satisfaction rating, and number of job openings, the Top 12 all have a median base salary of more than $100,000 and job openings in the thousands. And 10 of those top spots are all in career fields you can a path to with a Dunwoody degree.

  1. Enterprise Architect
    Coming in at the Number 1 spot, Enterprise Architects have a median base salary of $144,997, a job satisfaction rating of 4.1/5, and more than 14,000 job openings. Enterprise architects are responsible for overseeing, upgrading, and maintaining an organization’s IT networks and services.

  2. Full Stack Engineer
    Taking up the next spot on the list is a career field with a median base salary of $101,794, a job satisfaction rating of 4.3/5, and more than 11,200 job openings. Full Stack Engineers are experts in the world of web, application, and software development. They understand coding and take a big picture view of an organization’s technology platform.

    Any career that deals with artificial intelligence (AI) has to find a spot on a top job list. Which is why it makes sense that Machine Learning Engineer found its way to the number six spot, with a median base salary of $130,489, a job satisfaction rating of 4.3/5 and more than 6,800 job openings. And if the name isn’t cool enough, the description certainly is. Machine Learning Engineers build AI systems that leverage data sets to generate and develop algorithms capable of learning and eventually making predictions.
