Dunwoody will hold outdoor Commencement Ceremony in May

Dunwoody College of Technology will honor the Class of 2021 at an outdoor Commencement Ceremony at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, May 26, at CHS Field in St. Paul. Graduates from the Class of 2020 are also being invited to walk in the ceremony.

Commencement is an important milestone for both students and the College. With that in mind, and thanks to the progress of vaccinations and with continued guidance from the Minnesota Department of Health and the Governor’s Office, the College announced this week that it will once again hold a traditional, in-person ceremony – with a few changes.

The outdoor ceremony will take place at CHS Field in St. Paul. The College chose an outdoor venue since it provided the safest way for the graduates, their families, and Dunwoody faculty and staff to gather together and honor the graduating class. The College will be limiting guests to four per graduate. Wearing masks and social distancing will be mandatory.

For those who are not comfortable attending a large event in May, the College will post a virtual ceremony at 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 27.

In the event of a weather cancellation, Dunwoody will proceed with the virtual event and re-schedule the in-person ceremony for a later date.

Updates and information will be posted on the Dunwoody website.
