From designing spaces to robots, Dunwoody offers hands-on summer experiences for students
This summer, students can explore the hands-on world of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) through several exciting day camp experiences. Complete fun, hand-on projects with college faculty at the Dunwoody College campus in Minneapolis.
Summer camp experiences are designed for students entering grades six through 12 and range in interest from interior design to robotics.

Born to Design: Interior Design Summer Camp
Immerse yourself in the world of interior design during a four-day, hands-on summer camp this June. Born to Design introduces students to the interior design profession through project-based learning. Study color, materials, architectural drawing, and digital media while working with established, professional designers and instructors. Students will complete a design project that encompasses all phases of the design process. Museum visit included.
AGES: Students entering grades 8-12 in Fall 2020
WHEN: June 15-18 (Friday, June 19 option, with tours of design firms, available for an additional $100)

High School Robotics Camp
Students will be exposed to CAD software, electronics, mechanical assembly and programming while they build a fully autonomous robot. This robot uses RoboTeq’s motor controller and a custom designed CNC machined chassis. Hands-on activities are led by expert faculty.

Arts-n-Crafts, Robots & Computing Camp
Learn the basics of computing through arts and crafts projects! Build and program robots with LEGO Mindstorms®, learn about Artbotics, and program with Scratch. Activities are led by Dunwoody faculty and staff.

Youth Career Awareness Program (YCAP) College Prep Summer Camp
YCAP Summer Camp is a three week camp that helps prepare high school juniors for college.
At the Summer Camp, you will:
- Explore career opportunities available through the technical programs offered at Dunwoody
- Visit job sites and talk to industry partners about what everyday life is like on their job
- Receive $100 weekly stipend, free bus pass, and free lunch for the duration of the camp
If you find a career path that interests you during camp, you’ll have the opportunity to attend Dunwoody after high school graduation. Those accepted into a Dunwoody program will receive a scholarship of up to $10,000/year for two years.
