What gadget would you
re-engineer and why?
The School of Engineering at Dunwoody College of Technology is announcing a creative video contest geared toward the next generation of engineers.
The contest, “Creating the Future!” challenges high school classes, clubs, and students in the State of Minnesota to provide a 60-second or less video response to the following question:
If given the chance, what gadget would you re-engineer? How would you approach it, and why would you like to re-engineer it?
Winning submissions will receive one of three cash prizes ($500, $250, $100).
Video submissions can be posted to Instagram between Sept. 1, 2023 and Jan. 5, 2024. Videos should tag @dunwoodycollege. To be eligible, all entrants also need to complete the online submission form. Winners will be announced in February 2024 during Engineering Week (Feb. 18-24, 2024) and will be featured on our social media channels.
“Engineers have a major impact on our world and the quality of our lives. It’s important that we are challenging our future engineers to think creatively,” said School of Engineering Director Noureen Sajid. “This contest is a fun and engaging activity to help your students understand the importance of engineering and inspire them to pursue careers in STEM.”
