The next generation of designers will get a start on a degree in architecture, graphic design or interior design
Dunwoody College of Technology, a leader in hands-on technical education and professional development, announced its Design NOW! program to serve the next generation of designers. The Post Secondary Enrollment Option (PSEO) is designed for motivated Minnesota high school seniors eager to jumpstart their degree in Architecture, Interior Design or Graphic Design.
This unique PSEO opportunity allows students to earn college credits tuition-free while simultaneously fulfilling high school requirements. The Design NOW! program provides an immersive, hands-on learning experience in Dunwoody’s School of Design, featuring expert faculty with professional industry experience. The coursework builds a strong foundation for future careers in the design field while advancing opportunities in higher education.
“Empowering the next generation of designers, creators, makers, visionaries and doers is at the heart of what we do at Dunwoody,” said Trevor Bullen, Academic Dean. “Design NOW! is opening the door for Minnesota high school seniors to begin their journey in the dynamic field of design. The programs are fueled by educators with industry-leadership that are passionate about shaping the future of their fields.”
Program highlights include:
- Degree Pathways: Students can pursue Architectural Drafting & Design (A.A.S.), Graphic Design & Production (A.A.S.) or Interior Design (B.S.).
- Real-World Learning: First-year courses include technical classes tailored to each degree path, such as: Foundation Studio, Design Representation, Industry & Profession Representation.
- Full-Time Campus Experience: Accepted students are considered full-time Dunwoody students and will attend classes on campus during the school day.
- Flexible Options: A part-time PSEO option is available for students not enrolled in the Design NOW! program.
Eligible students must be Minnesota high school seniors with a minimum 3.0 GPA. The application process includes a meeting with a Dunwoody Admissions Counselor (in person or virtually) prior to applying, submission of the Minnesota PSEO Notice of Student Registration Form and completion of a final course schedule in collaboration with Dunwoody’s Registrar’s Office. Applications for Fall 2025 enrollment are accepted through May 30; Spring 2026 enrollment closes Oct. 30.
In addition to the Design NOW!, Dunwoody offers Engineering NOW! PSEO pathways for students interested in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering. More information about the Engineering NOW! programs can be found at: dunwoody.edu/engineering-now.
