Agreements provide pathways into bachelor completion degrees in Automation & Controls Engineering Technology and Industrial Engineering Technology
Dunwoody College of Technology is excited to announce four new articulation agreements with Pine Technical & Community College. These agreements will provide students from Pine Technical a seamless transition into two Bachelor of Science degree options at Dunwoody.
The articulation agreements allow students with an A.A.S. degree in Automated Systems Technology to transfer into the B.S. degree in Automation & Controls Engineering Technology degree; and students with A.A.S. degrees in Applied Engineering Technology, Automated Systems Technology, or Precision Machining to transfer into the B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering Technology.
Both the Automated & Controls Engineering Technology degree and the Industrial Engineering Technology degree are accredited by the Engineering Technology Accreditation Commission of ABET.
Dunwoody’s Industrial Engineering Technology degree program prepares students for engineering and management roles as a manufacturing engineer, industrial engineer, or quality engineer. Students learn all stages of the industrial engineering process, from supply chain to quality control.
Graduates from Dunwoody’s Automation & Controls Engineering Technology program leave with the skills and knowledge to work as a controls engineer, automation engineer, or mechatronics engineer. Coursework combines a variety of disciplines, including electrical design, Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) applications, robotics, motors, machine vision, auto-guided vehicles, and factory automation.
These articulation agreements recognize the academic strength and rigor of the Pine Technical & Community College programs.
What is an Articulation Agreement?
Articulation agreements are formal arrangements between higher education institutions that ensure smooth credit transfers between degree programs along with a seamless admissions process.
By clearly defining transferable courses, equivalent credits, and necessary prerequisites, articulation agreements simplify the transfer process. As part of its commitment to serving students, Dunwoody College of Technology has established numerous articulation agreements with other educational institutions.
These agreements also broaden academic and career opportunities, offering students access to diverse programs and specializations. This flexibility empowers students to tailor their education to career aspirations, positioning them as leaders in a competitive job market.
A full list of Dunwoody’s articulation agreements can be found online at: https://dunwoody.edu/about/accountability/articulation-agreements/.
Students interested in pursuing a transfer path are encouraged to review the articulation agreement. Dunwoody is committed to supporting students through this process, and interested students can reach out to the College’s Registrar’s Office with questions.
