Annual rankings based on performance across indicators of excellence<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

On Tuesday, September 23, U.S. News & World Report<\/em> published its annual \u201cBest Colleges\u201d rankings<\/a>, highlighting top institutions across the country. Dunwoody College of Technology<\/a> earned recognition in four categories on the 2026 list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to being named one of the best Regional Colleges \u2013 Midwest, it also made the list for Best Value Schools, Best Undergraduate Engineering Programs, and Best Colleges for Veterans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These rankings serve as a valuable resource for prospective students and their families, assessing more than 1,700 colleges and universities on up to 17 measures of academic quality and graduate success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Best Regional Colleges \u2013 Midwest<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dunwoody once again made the list for Best Regional Colleges \u2013 Midwest<\/a>. To be considered for the category, colleges must focus on undergraduate education but grant fewer than half their degrees in liberal arts disciplines. The rankings are split into four regions: North, South, Midwest, and West.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Best Colleges for Veterans \u2013 Midwest<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dunwoody College tied for fifth in the Midwest for Best Colleges for Veterans<\/a>, which identifies schools that make pursuing a college education more affordable for veterans and active-duty service members. Schools are only included in the 2026 edition of the Best Colleges for Veterans ranking if they meet the following criteria, as reported to U.S. News during the spring and summer 2025 statistical survey data collection: the institution is certified for the GI Bill and the institution participates in the Yellow Ribbon Program or is a public school. In addition, colleges must be ranked in the top half of one of the 2026 Best Colleges ranking categories to be included on the list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Best Value Colleges \u2013 Midwest<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dunwoody College was also once again ranked as one of the Best Value Colleges<\/a> in the Midwest. This ranking takes into account a school\u2019s academic quality, as indicated by its 2026 U.S. News Best Colleges ranking, and the 2024-2025 net cost of attendance for an out-of-state student who received the average level of need-based scholarship or grant aid. Only schools ranked in or near the top half of other categories were included.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Best Undergraduate Engineering Programs \u2013 Nationwide<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the second time since launching Dunwoody\u2019s School of Engineering, the College made the ranking for Best Undergraduate Engineering Programs<\/a>. Rankings were based solely on peer assessment surveys, and to appear on the survey a school must have an undergraduate engineering program accredited by ABET. Schools listed are colleges whose highest engineering degree offered is a bachelor\u2019s or master\u2019s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
