Experienced interior designer and public artist Korrin\nHoward is stepping into a new leadership role at Dunwoody College of\nTechnology. Howard has been named Director of the Interior Design and Graphic\nDesign & Production programs, both of which will now be part of the College\u2019s\nnew School of Design. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
This is an expansion of Howard\u2019s previous position and reflects\nthe College\u2019s commitment to growing its design-centric programs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
For the past 16 years, Howard has applied her experience as\na designer and public artist to inspire students in the classroom. In her new\nrole, she will be leading the graphic and interior design programs to help\nstudents become sought-after creative professionals in the design fields. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Howard received her Bachelor of Science in Interior Design\nfrom The Art Institutes International MN, before going on to receive two Master\nof Fine Arts degrees \u2013 one in Ecological Architecture from Vesper College in\nMinneapolis, and another in Industrial Design from the Academy of Art\nUniversity in San Francisco. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
She is a member of numerous professional associations, including IIDA, the commercial interior design association; NEWH the hospitality industry network; AIGA the professional organization of Design; and the Interior Design Educators Council. Howard received her National Council for Interior Design Qualification Certification in 2013. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
In her role as an interior designer, Howard previously worked\nfor the PDI Design Group as a BIM\/Revit Specialist. In 2004, she became a faculty\nmember at the Art Institutes International MN and joined the Dunwoody Interior\nDesign faculty in 2016. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
During her time at Dunwoody, Howard helped lead the Interior\nDesign program through the successful re-accreditation process with the Council\nof Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA). <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Howard has completed artist residencies at both the\nMinneapolis Institute of Arts and Stevens Point Sculpture Park and has also\nworked extensively as a commissioned public artist. Her work has included: <\/p>\n\n\n\n
