We have selected 10 moments from this year that make us #DunwoodyProud.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Dunwoody 2018 in Review\" src=\"https:\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/307706665?dnt=1&amp;app_id=122963\" width=\"580\" height=\"326\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"autoplay; fullscreen; picture-in-picture; clipboard-write\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><strong>10.<\/strong> The College celebrates an astounding 98 percent job placement rate. Dunwoody graduates continue to be in high demand with 98 percent of students placed in their field of study.<\/p>\n<p><strong>9.<\/strong> Dunwoody launched the <a href=\"https:\/\/dunwoody.edu\/alumni-donors\/leadingtheway\/\">Leading the Way Campaign<\/a><em>.<\/em> The College already raised an astounding $40 million (80 percent) towards our $50 million goal.<\/p>\n<p><strong>8.<\/strong> Students studied abroad in Spain! These students were part of the College\u2019s first-ever semester-long study abroad program. Traveling to Barcelona, Spain, students immersed themselves in design and urbanism. <a href=\"https:\/\/dunwoody.edu\/news\/2018\/architecture-students-return-from-extended-study-abroad\/\">Read about their journey here.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>7.<\/strong> The foundry experience returns to Dunwoody. Mechanical Engineering students created aluminum wrenches using a combination of 3D printing and sandcasting. <a href=\"https:\/\/dunwoody.edu\/news\/2018\/foundry-experience-returns-to-dunwoody\/\">Read more about this class experience here.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>6.<\/strong> The Autonomous Snowplow team took 2<sup>nd<\/sup> and 5<sup>th<\/sup> in a national competition. Dunwoody earned its highest place to date when Team Wendigo brought home 2<sup>nd <\/sup>place and a $4,000 prize. Dunwoody\u2019s Snow Devils Team closely followed with 5<sup>th<\/sup>place and a $700 prize. <a href=\"https:\/\/dunwoody.edu\/news\/2018\/students-compete-help-out-teams-at-autonomous-snowplow-competition\/\">Read about their accomplishments here.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>5.<\/strong> Our Graphic Design, Interior Design, and Engineering Drafting &amp; Design students collaborated to create a display for the Minnesota Department of Health at the Minnesota State Fair. Conceptualized and executed by Dunwoody students and department faculty, the graphic-covered wooden-panel was designed to answer questions regarding the health and safety of the State\u2019s drinking water as well as its origin.<a href=\"https:\/\/dunwoody.edu\/news\/2018\/dunwoody-to-design-large-scale-display-for-minnesota-state-fair\/\">\u00a0Read more about the display here.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>4.<\/strong> Dunwoody\u2019s School of Engineering continued to grow with the addition of Electrical Engineering the new degree offering adds to the pipeline of graduates as Dunwoody works to help address the skills gap.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe decided to add Electrical Engineering to our School of Engineering because there is an industry need for them, and it\u2019s a great fit with our other two engineering majors \u2014 Mechanical and Software,\u201d President Rich Wagner said. <a href=\"https:\/\/dunwoody.edu\/news\/2017\/dunwoody-college-of-technology-electrical-engineering\/\">Read on here.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>3.<\/strong> Dunwoody graduated its first Bachelor of Architecture class in May. Six Dunwoody graduates were the first to earn the Bachelor of Architecture degree when they crossed the stage on May 17. The degree, which launched in fall of 2015, is structured as a plus three stackable credential. Dunwoody is one of the only schools in the nation to use this structure!<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGraduating our first class is a significant milestone in the academic and professional communities throughout our region,\u201d said Architecture Program Manager John Dwyer.<a href=\"https:\/\/dunwoody.edu\/news\/2018\/first-dunwoody-architecture-class-to-graduate\/\"> Read more about the first graduating class here.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>2.<\/strong> The first group of students benefited from the new housing program this August. Partnering with The Quad on Delewear (formerly Stadium View), the off-campus housing agreement is the first of its kind for the College. Located in the Dinkytown neighborhood of Minneapolis, the new student housing community offers fully-furnished apartments.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese changes are bringing an exciting energy to Dunwoody\u2019s campus,\u201d Dean of Students Kelli Sattler said. \u201cNew spaces bring new opportunities for students to get engaged and involved beyond the classroom.\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/dunwoody.edu\/news\/2018\/dunwoody-to-offer-students-housing-fall-2018\/\">Read more about the new student housing here.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>1.<\/strong> The 24,000 square foot renovation and expansion of the Dunwoody campus was completed and opened in August. The Welcome Center and Learning Commons now occupies the space that once held the gymnasium.
